| See Red with Q8 Air Filter Oil |
New Air Filter Oil from Q8Oils
Q8Oils’ new Air Filter Oil is bright red, making it easy to spot which parts of the filter have been covered after cleaning.
Q8Oils specially formulated their new Air Filter Oil to optimise all foam-filter performance. Its adhesive properties increase the effectiveness of the filter trapping dust, sand, mud and water. It penetrates quickly and easily yet dries rapidly, reducing the amount of time required for this routine maintenance.
Application is straightforward. Before applying, clean the air filter with solvent and ensure that it is dry. Shake well before use then soak the foam, removing excessive fluid by simply squeezing (not wringing) the filter. Let the filter dry for a few minutes before re-assembling... |

| Clean Up with Q8Oils |
Press Release 15 September 2008
Q8Oils Engine Cleaner
Mounted behind the front wheel and close to the road surface, motorcycle engines are exposed to a significant volume of dirt and spray, which can accelerate corrosion if left untreated. Q8Oils Engine Cleaner is a specially formulated product to clean and degrease motorcycle engines and other mechanical parts quickly and efficiently.
Simply spray onto the outer surface of the engine in uniform layers, ensuring that the mist reaches inaccessible parts. Leave the product for a short time to remove oil and grease residues, then wash off with clean water. Repeat the treatment if necessary.
Because Q8Oils formulated their Engine Cleaner for motorcycles it is compatible with normally... |

| Is your engine oil too slippery when wet? |
For immediate release 11 July 2008
Q8Oils meet JASO standards for wet clutches
Q8Oils’ range of mineral, part- and fully-synthetic motorcycle engine oils all meet the current JASO MA standard, which is designed for vehicles fitted with a 'wet clutch.' Motorcycle manufacturers are increasingly stating the importance of using appropriate lubricants to cope with the particular conditions experienced by motorcycle engines.
Most modern motorcycle clutches are bathed in the engine oil, to give smoother performance and longer life, and these require a specifically blended lubricant to avoid clutch slip. So in addition to selecting the appropriate grade of oil, (e.g. 10W-40), riders should check that it... |

| Motorcycle Engine oil top up guide |
Why do you need to check your engine oil regularly?
Low engine oil levels can seriously damage the health of your engine. If your oil level drops to a point where your engine is starved of oil, then very serious and expensive engine damage may well occur. Your bike’s performance and fuel consumption will also be affected.
When should you check your oil?
Most manufacturers suggest that you check your oil every week and some recommend daily checks. You will find guidelines in your owner’s handbook.
• The need to top up between services is not necessarily serious. Up to 1 litre per 1,000 miles is not unheard of; so don’t panic just because your bike is using oil. Due to the nature of mass production, you will find... |

Q8Oils develop new ‘greener’ lubricants that can save £2,000 in fuel per vehicle, per year
Q8Oils has developed two highly fuel-efficient gear and transmission oils designed to improve fuel consumption and in turn reduce the CO2 output of trucks and buses. Candidate Oils were tested under controlled conditions at the Motor Industry Research Institute (MIRA) proving ground. The test vehicles were driven at high speeds and simulated stop-start driving conditions - all with the sort of diesel you can buy on any forecourt. The tests were as close to the real world as can be. The tests proved that the new lubricants delivered fuel savings equivalent to £2,000 per truck per year. The new oils are – Q8 T 66 a... |

| Q8Oils backs campaign to quit smoking |
Press Release 17 December 2007
Q8OILS SUPPORTS SYNTHETIC OIL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR TWO-STROKE ENGINES
Q8Oils is backing an awareness campaign by the Motorcycle Community in Europe to promote the use of synthetic oil amongst owners of 2-stroke motorcycles and scooters in order to reduce emissions from these popular 'daily use' machines. The type of lubricant oil used in 2-stroke machines has a direct and immediate impact on their PM (Particulate Matters) emissions and there is potential for PM reduction in the range of 50% if riders choose cleaner synthetic options, hence the support of the EU Commission for the campaign.
Since 2-stroke engine oil is mixed with the fuel it reaches all moving parts of the engine, before ultimately... |

| Keep your cool this winter with Q8Oils |
Make sure your bike doesn’t catch a cold this winter, by ensuring that it has the correct level and concentration of engine coolant. That’s the advice from lubricant specialists Q8Oils. According to the AA a 50:50 mix of antifreeze and water in the cooling system is needed in winter. This gives maximum protection down to -34° centigrade and without it severe engine damage costing hundreds of pounds can occur.
While it may sound odd to raise the subject of coolant in winter, modern motorcycle coolants are designed for year-round use. They have a higher boiling point than water, for summer cooling, and a lower freezing point for winter protection. If the coolant has been diluted, perhaps by topping up with water over the summer, it may freeze during a cold spell of weather... |

| Q8Oils Chain Lube keeps Airwaves Ducati on track in BSB |
Whether you ride on the road or the track a well-lubricated drive chain will not only prolong the life of expensive-to-replace components, it will also help the engine to deliver its power to the rear wheel. Poorly lubricated chains will overheat, causing them to stretch and increasing friction on the sprockets, which will wear down more quickly, all of which affects the chain’s ability to drive the rear wheel. Worse still, the O-rings in modern chains are liable to perish if insufficiently protected by chain lube.
The choice of chain lube is crucial in motorcycle racing, where every ounce of power counts. Not only is chain lube vital to keep the chain moving freely over the expensive alloy sprockets used for racing motorcycles, it is also important that the lube sticks to the... |
