Q8Oils supported Gary Mason was in sparkling form at Brands Hatch, winning all three of the Mirror.co.uk Cup races in Round Seven of the MCE Superbike Championship at the Kent circuit.
Mason had previously insisted that anyone doubting his Mirror.co.uk Cup credentials would be eating their words when the dust settles after Brands Hatch. However, this meeting would be a test of both men and machines, with an extra race on Saturday in addition to the regular two races on Sunday. Gary started in confident form by qualifying first of the Cup riders on the Quay Garage Honda.
From then on Mason was unstoppable; in Race One, held on Saturday, Mason set the fastest lap and took the Superbike Cup win from Martin Jessopp and Tom Tunstall. Race Two, held the following day, was a repeat performance. In Race Three the only difference was that Tom Tunstall set the fastest lap, although he still finished in third, behind Gary Mason and Martin Jessopp.
As a result Gary Mason has extended his lead in the Mirror.co.uk Cup to nearly 100 points ahead of second position Peter Hickman and is currently 11th in the main MCE Superbike standings. Quay Garage Honda will be back in action at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire on 29th-31st August.
The lubricants used by Quay Garage Racing are blended in Q8Oils' purpose-built plant in Leeds, just like the Q8Oils range of MOTO SBK oils that are available to road riders.
